Ana-Maria Ungureanu is the founder of STUDIO UNGR and holds a BA in Fashion and Costume for Performance from the London College of Fashion, part of the University of the Arts London. As a stylist and photographer, she works on a variety of projects, including developing concepts for photoshoots and product designs. She has also worked with current LCF students to provide guidance on admission portfolios.

Currently, Ana-Maria is gaining valuable experience at Gisela Graham, a leading giftware company in the UK, while working on launching her own Etsy shop. Her professional experience includes roles as a creative designer and dresser, as well as various positions in retail, which have broadened her understanding of the fashion industry.

Ana-Maria believes the boundaries between fashion and costume are increasingly blurred. Her education and hands-on experience have equipped her with the skills to explore this intersection, leading her to create genderless garments that challenge conventional norms and embrace inclusivity. Sustainability is central to her work, and she is committed to integrating eco-friendly practices into her designs.

She draws inspiration from the vibrant psytrance scene, fine art, and tattooing, incorporating bold colours and intricate patterns into her work to promote self-expression and individuality. Her early involvement in French theatre during school gave her a deeper understanding of costume design’s role in performance, further shaping her unique perspective in the fashion world.

Ana-Maria aims to enhance her skills in sustainable design and production techniques while expanding her knowledge of fashion marketing and brand management. She admires brands like Loewe for their innovative approach and Story Mfg for their commitment to ethical fashion, reflecting her own values.

Through her entrepreneurial efforts, Ana-Maria is eager to collaborate with others in the industry and create a positive impact. Her long-term goal is to establish a fashion brand that produces captivating, genderless garments, contributing to a more inclusive market.
